Abstract

This thesis is focused on material flow analysis and economic assessment of hardened metal plate production, in a copany EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. The aim of this thesis was to choose an appropriate method to describe the material flow analysis of hardened metal plate production and its economic assessment. For a graphic presentation of material flow analysis was chosen Sankeyův diagram and material flow analysis of hardened metal plate production was described by situational plan of the company. Economic evaluation of hardened metal plate production was done by costing and was also intended break-even point. The economic assessment showed that the company currently sells hardened metal plates below cost, mainly to cover the variable costs. But this is only a short term issue due to the crisis. Therefore the company has to have a well-covered funding from its own resources, which arose prior to the crisis in order to cover the fixed costs.
