Abstract

The thesis deals with exact and thorough implementation of complex and demanding process of joint-stock company evaluation. The purpose of the thesis is to apply the intended methods of valuation, in particular the EVA-Entity method and the DCF-Entity method to determine the market value of the selected company, Unipetrol, a.s., to 01.01.2012 and then to use this founded aggregate value as the basis for communication of the company current owners with the potential interested candidates about the possible acquisition. The theoretical part of thesis, which is devoted to the basis definition of a comprehensive evaluation process, includes the view of practical application of knowledge at the area of valuation in the Czech Republic and around of the world, as well as detailed information regarding the valuation methods used in the thesis, development of knowledge in strategic and financial analysis, and overview on a progress of SWOT analysis application. The practical part is focused on using more demanding and exact company valuation methodology for determination of the joint-stock company Unipetrol, a.s., value. In this part, the general information about the company and company economical results is presented, and serves as a basis for the implementation of the financial situation analysis of a company in particular, and external and internal conditions having a substantial effect on the company operating results, and the valuation of the company. In the final part of thesis, the general overview on a solved issue with interpretation thesis objectives is represented.
