Abstract

The aim of this Diploma Thesis is approach in the theoretical part of the consumer issues in the Czech republic and in the European union, in the analytical part of the survey by breaking down the public's awareness on consumer, protection, in particular knowledge about the impact of EU membership, European consumer´s institutions, consumer´s brands, systems of RAPEX and RASFF or with dangerous products. In addition, the survey results to evaluate and propose recommendations.personal experience. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first part described the theoretical basis of consumer protection in the Czech republic and in the European union. The next chapter is an analysis of the problem product safety and consumer health, followed by analysis selected cases, and judgments of the European Court of Justice and the questionnaire Research focused on public awareness of consumer protection in the Republic and the EU.
