Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on the valuation of a company. This report determines the sale value of the company Blanco Professional CZ spol. s r. o. on 1. 1. 2012. The company is valued by using the profit method with Discounted Cash Flow (DCF)- entity which means valuing the company as a whole. The theory part of this work is focused on explaining difficulties in general with valuations, which is followed by a description of strategic analysis and financial analysis, including the pyramid decomposition of the Return On Equity (ROE). This is followed by explaining how financial plans are drawn up and by the characteristics of each method of valuation. The next part of this work is dedicated to the profile of the chosen company and is followed by the application of theory, producing findings for the chosen company. The strategic analysis, financial analysis including the vertical and horizontal analysis and analysis of individual financial ratios is carried out. This is followed by a valuation of the company and a five year financial plan. Finally the analysis of the sensitivity of chosen parameters is carried out.
