Ekonomické efekty implementace moderních technologií v péči pobytových sociálních služeb

Abstract

The subject of this diploma thesis is the evaluation of the economic effects of implementing modern technologies in residential social services, specifically in the organization Domovy na Orlici in the period from 2014 to 2024. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part deals with the definition of social services, their financing, the characteristics of residential care facilities, and the importance of modern technologies in this sector. The practical part focuses on the analysis of the organization’s economic performance and defines the methodology and indicators used to evaluate its economic functioning, level of financial self-sufficiency, and the impact of implementing the SensFloor® sensor floor. Subsequently, the selected indicators are used to assess the economic effects of the implemented technology and its impact on staffing requirements and personnel costs.
