Individual Professional Practice in the Company

Abstract

The author has started working in Tieto Czech s.r.o. as a System Engineer intern, then changed to Software Engineer and changed a few projects.

He had been developing a monitoring system from scratch with 2 other interns under supervision of our project manager and a senior developer. During this time they had an opportunity to learn Java enterprise technologies like Spring Framework, Hibernate, MySQL, learn micro-services and three-tier architectures and improve their code under frequent code reviews from senior Java developers.

Also he had been a part of 2 big international projects with development teams located in Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark and Norway. There he had an opportunity to experience real work on a real live project that was used by hundred thousands, if not millions, of users. Finally, the author had an experience to work on legacy code and to perform refactorings on a live system.

The author hopes that he had contributed a big deal to the company along his way, because he did his work thoroughly, completely and efficiently, implementing fixes as well as his own ideas and improvements.
