Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the status of the legal regulation of the distant stores from the point of view of consumer protection and to determine the status of consumer awareness of their rights during the online shopping in electronic stores. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first chapter is focused on the legal regulation processing of electronic commerce and consumer protection in the Czech Republic and the European Union. The second chapter analyzes the electronic store called MALL.CZ, especially its terms and conditions and complaint conditions, and describes the development of Internet Mall, a.s. company that practises the mentioned electronic store. In the third practical chapter there is included a survey among selected sample of users of electronic stores. The results of the survey are evaluated and processed in graphic form with verbal commentary.
