Abstract

This bachelor‘s thesis focuses on the subject of security mechanisms, that are used to access WiFi networks. These are firstly concerned with the theoretical level and subsequently one particular of them – RADIUS technology from the practical point of view. The aim of this paper is to launch a Linux implementation of RADIUS technology on the Linux operating system Fedora. The result of this paper will be functional environment consisting of a machine, which is operated by the RADIUS server and access point that acts as an intermediary between the RADIUS server and the client stations. This environment and its client stations will be configured to allow the client stations to access the WiFi network with the support of various security protocols.
