Bezpečnost práce s nanomateriály

Abstract

This thesis inquires into the nanomaterials and their safety. The introductory section concerns itself with history of nanotechnology, defines nanotechnology and lists examples of nanomaterials. The next section describes attitude of European Union to safety of work with nanomaterials, including European strategy for nanotechnologies, action plan for Europe and legislative directions for safety of work with nanomaterials. The following chapter deals with safety and protection of health during the work with nanomaterials in EU and introduces members of PEROSH and priorities of planned research in area of safety of nanotechnologies. The following text describes the potential dangers of nanomaterials and gives overview of synthetically produced nanomaterials in the Czech Republic. The conclusion deals with suggestions and recommendations for safety of work in production and use of nanomaterials.
