Územně samosprávné celky a jejich vliv na zvýšení kvality stavu pozemních komunikací v České republice

Abstract

The Thesis deals with the issue of technical stand of ground communications in the Czech Republic with regard to possibility of improving road traffic safety. The first part of the Thesis is devoted to description of basic system of ground communications in the Czech Republic, the division thereof, their characteristic features and ownership, ways of exploitation etc. Further part of the Thesis describes the activity performed by territorial self-government authorities within the scope of their independent and transferred competence that may affect the quality of ground communications. The conclusion of the Thesis points out some possibilities of how to modify the ground communications in order to improve their quality and therewith road traffic safety, followed up with suggested solution at two selected collision places in the town of Kadaň.
