Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the dimensioning of an electric drive system for electromagnetic stirrers used in metallurgy. Current approaches to power supply system design are based on internal calculation documents and are often performed manually, which leads to limited clarity and flexibility of the design process. The aim of this thesis is to analyze these approaches and propose a tool for more efficient and clearer dimensioning of the power supply system. The proposed solution is implemented in MS Excel and includes a database of components and calculation procedures for dimensioning the main parts of the system. The main contribution of the thesis is the unification of the design process, reduction of manual interventions, and improved transparency of overall design. The solution also includes the generation of an output report and the creation of a user manual.
