Resumé USE AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COHESION FUND IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC DURING PROGRAMMING PERIOD 2007 - 2013 Eliška Mikesková The main aim of this bachelor thesis is a comprehensive of the Cohesion Fund and its tools, objectives, financial allocatins and his approach through the use and implementation of specific operational programs to the Cohesion Fund in the Czech Republic´s finances. In the theoretical part, there are introduced basic characteristics of the economic and social cohesion EU and Cohesion Fund. In the practical part of the paper, there are described and afterwards evaluated the Operational Programs Transport and Environment. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. First chapter is differentiated into two main parts. Focus of the first part lies on the description of EU regional policy in the years 2007 – 2013. There are defined goals, tools, program and financial policy framework. The second part focuses on the Cohesion Fund and its use in the 2007-2013. The second theoretical part focuses on the two operational programs co-financed by the Cohesion Fund. First of all we will get familiar with the ‘Operation Program Transport’ and then with the ‘Operational Program Environment’. The practical part is presented in the last, fourth chapter. There are discussed financial resources of the Cohesion Fund. First chapter covers the process of drawing funds from the Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund. The following subsections explain the process of drawing of the ‘Operational Program Transport’ and ‘Operational Program Environment’ through the Cohesion Fund. The conclusion of the bachelor thesis aims to the general summary and evaluation of the usage of the Cohesion Fund in the Czech Republic.
