Abstract

In this thesis I deal with biocorrosion that is applied in the process of building material damage. In the first part the term biodeterioration (biocorrosion) is defined and its causation and consequence is described. Then the attention is given to some biodetergents (organisms) that are described in the perspective of their negative influences on building materials. In the second part proper methods of finding and identification of biodetergents on materials are mentioned. Suitable methods of taken samples to be transferred for identification are described. In the end of the theoretical part of this thesis the methods of material protection and dehumidification and sanation of buildings are described and, moreover, short review of proper preparatives, coating and impregnation for protection from biotic factors and atmospheric effect are mentioned. The aim of tests is to evaluate the influence of special environment on concrete scantlings. Their damage caused by the environment during time periods is evaluated. Especially, visual changes and subtle surface distortions are anticipated. These scantlings were at the end of the experiment tested in their resistivity against pressure, coup and shear flexion. Via these tests the disruption of the inner structure of concrete scantlings was detected.
