Abstract
This bachelor’s thesis evaluates the ergonomic aspects of workplaces with welding robots compared to traditional manual welding at Bühler CZ. It focuses on analyzing factors such as overall and local muscle strain and manual handling of loads that impact employees’ health. Using the RULA and OCRA methods, working conditions were assessed, revealing higher ergonomic risks in manual welding compared to robotic welding. The thesis proposes measures to reduce physical strain, including safety breaks, ergonomic aids, and employee training. It also examines productivity and weld quality, where robotic welding shows lower efficiency and higher costs. The findings contribute to optimizing the work environment and highlight the importance of ergonomics in industrial production.
