Abstract
This thesis describes present status of aluminium metal shavings from heads machining utilisation for the automotive industry. Input material and its characteristics is described, which is the basis for the production of heads. Next part describes the technologies of aluminium metal shavings technology. That is both briquetting and centrifugation met-hod with subsequent shavings drying in the set of furnace – submerged melting. The first method is more accessible in terms of price and its utilization ratio is around 95%. By the second method we achieve melting utilization percentage up to 98% and it is in terms of price more costly and more complicated. The metal shavings briquetting is carried out within the experimental part together with melting in furnaces test, metal shavings cleaning and drying by an external company. Savings, which will arise in course of the actual aluminium metal shavings recycling process (briquetting) and sub-sequent processing in melting furnaces, are described in the economic balance sheet.
