Střednědobý rozvoj města Rožnov pod Radhoštěm

Abstract

The main target of this thesis is to determine if the Strategic Development Plan of the town Rožnov pod Radhoštěm meet its objectives and priorities for the years 2008-2020. Rožnov pod Radhoštěm has a great potential for development, especially in tourism and industry. Tourism is represented mainly Wallachian open air museum - the oldest, largest and most important museum of this kind in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. The industry is on the Rožnov historically given, therefore it´s necessary to use suitable venues and increase competitiveness and employment center. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first two are theoretical and deal with factors of regional development, regional actors and strategic documents. The third part is practical - analyzes Rožnov pod Radhoštěm from all angles and poses Strategic Development Plan of the town. According S.W.O.T. analysis were defined strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks of development of the city. According to the analysis there were designed specific opportunities and risks of further development of the city that the Strategic Plan so far failed to materialize.
