Návrh sanace a rekultivace odkaliště Saxonie

Abstract

In order to burn coal in power plants, its size had to be modified and it was necessary to remove unwanted impurities. Subsequently these impurities were transported in the form of coal sludge to a waste pond where they were deposited into the excavated Saxonie coal mine. In my thesis I describe a remediation and consequent reclamation of Saxonie waste pond. The emphasis is put on suggesting a sequence of actions to take when carrying out a mine land remediation and subsequent reclamation as a follow-up to a mining and technical solution. Subsequently I deal with a biological land reclamation. Finally, I enclose an economic and environmental summary of removing the disposal site.
