Abstract

The bachelor thesis solves a regional study of the site around the former Bauhaus hobby market, the former municipal slaughterhouse and adjoining areas, which are located in the city district of Moravská Ostrava. Despite considerable historical importance the protected landmark municipal slaughterhouse and its surroundings is in a very deplorable condition. The thesis addresses new uses for both of the subjects mentioned above with an emphasis on the efficient design of the surrounding surfaces, the design of static traffic and connection to the technical infrastructure, all of this in two variants. The proposal is to place the public library with the city archive into the municipal slaughterhouse. In the first variant, the building of the former Bauhaus is to be used for a garage building while in the second variant leisure center is considered. One of the variants evaluates the possibility of placement of the apartements. The surrounding areas are designed as green areas with functional use as a park to increase the comfort of local residents. The aim of the thesis is to propose a compact complex for leisure for users of all ages.
