Zhodnocení procesu rozšiřování Evropské unie

Abstract

Pro svoji bakalářskou práci jsem si vybral problematiku rozšiřování Evropské unie. Tato bakalářská práce si dává za cíl zhodnotit proces rozšiřování Evropské unie a možný budoucí vývoj tohoto procesu. V první kapitole jsou vysvětleny podmínky pro vstup země do EU a kritéria, která musí každá země splnit při vstupu do Evropské unie. V druhé kapitole jsou popsány jednotlivé etapy rozšiřování EU a také důležité události a smlouvy, které měnily podobu ES a později EU. Ve třetí kapitole jsou rozebrány současné kandidátské a potencionálně kandidátské země ke členství v EU. Dále jsou zmíněny státy Východního partnerství a další země Evropy. Zmiňuji se i o plánovaném odchodu Velké Británie. V závěru hodnotím proces rozšiřování EU a snažím se nastínit proč je důležité nevyčkávat s přistoupením zemí Západního Balkánu příliš dlouho.

For my bachelor thesis I have chosen the issue of enlargement of the European Union. This bachelor thesis is about to evaluation of the enlargement process of the European Union and possible future development of this process. The first chapter explains the conditions for the country's accession to the EU and the criteria that each country must complete when they are joining the European Union. The second chapter describes the various stages of EU enlargement, as well as important events and treaties that changed the shape of the ES and later the EU. The third chapter analyzes the candidate and potential candidate countries for EU membership. The countries of the Eastern Partnership and other European countries are also mentioned. I also write Brexit. In the end I evaluate the EU enlargement process and try to explain why it is important not to wait long with the enlargement of the Western Balkan countries.
