Využití rekultivačních ploch po ukončení těžební činnosti Lomu Bílina

Abstract

In the thesis I have tried to show that even a country devastated by surface mining of lignite in Bílina quarry may be consequently used and incorporated into the surrounding landscape. In the first part I dealt with the history of coal mining in surroundings of the Bílina city and by history of the Bílina quarry itself. This part includes also history of building of the external dumps, followed by the information about other mining activities. In the next section of the thesis I have focused on the restoration of the residual pit and the dump bodies remaining after quarry mining activities, followed by the information about the type of the restoration. In the last part I have analysed the possibilities of use of each surface, which arise from particular restoration process. The main objective of this thesis is the proposal for lake and surfaces arisen from restoration of the external dumps area usage.
