Abstract

Subject of the thesis „Possibilities of the application of foam glass in the geotechnical and transport engineering“ is analysis of usage foam glass material as a embankment, filling and insulation material in geotechnical and transport engineering. Thesis is divided into several parts. The introductory part deals with the destription of properities and characterics of foamed glass material. The next section describes theoretical posibilities of using foam glass and resulting benefits and smoothly chamges to the section describing real use of material to solve various projects in real terms. The conclusion is devoted to compare the impact of embankment formed from gravel and from foam glass on the soil.
