Abstract
This thesis is focused on metallurgical processing of the pig iron in the electric induction furnace as the charge material for the production of the quality cast iron with the spheroidal graphite. Predominantly then ductile iron with the ferritic matrix, and required mechanical properties according to ČSN EN 1563.
