Abstract
The work is focused on the evaluation of welded joints of the secondary cover of the VVER 1000 steam generator, namely the circumferential homogeneous automatic weld of the flange with the bottom and the heterogeneous weld of the ferrite-austenite type on the sealing surface of the flange of the sleeve cover.
The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the analysis of homogeneous and heterogeneous welded joints, metallurgical weldability of steels and welding technologies used in the power industry. In the final chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis, attention is paid to the methods of quality assessment of welded joints.
The experimental part of the thesis deals with the evaluation of the structure and mechanical properties of the above mentioned welds. Non-destructive and destructive testing of homogeneous ferritic weld and heterogeneous weld of austenite/ferrite type was carried out on a test weldment. The obtained results confirmed the correctness of the designed welding technological procedures.
