Abstract

Wastewater is a problem for all households and companies today. Because water is one of the most important commodities in the world, it needs to be treated responsibly and with care. Therefore, it is important to learn how to manage water and be able to recycle it properly so that it can return to the most similar state in which it came into the water cycle. As many households in the Czech Republic and abroad still do not have access to the sewerage network, alternatives and solutions for wastewater management need to be sought in such a way that they minimize environmental pollution and do not affect the quality of surface and groundwater in the surrounding area. In this bachelor thesis I will deal with the design of a root treatment plant for a family house of 6 equivalent inhabitants. I will describe the amount and composition of domestic wastewater and then propose an adequate solution for their treatment using a root treatment plant.
