Evropský fond pro strategické investice a jeho dopad na českou ekonomiku

Abstract

This diploma thesis, regarding the topic of European Fund for Strategic Investment and its Impact on the Czech Economy. Thesis was written because of the high actuality regarding this topic and because of effort to evaluate the contribution of this fund for the Czech economy. The objective of the thesis is to establish, whether European Fund for Strategic Investment has the fundamental power of influence on the level of investments made in the Czech Republic. Partial objectives are to find out, whether there is in the Czech sufficiency of potential supported projects, and how it will support the economic growth through the European Fund for Strategic Investment. In the thesis were used empirical and logical methods. By using this methods were researched available data and documents. Thesis represents a comprehensive view at the issue of the lack of investment activities in the European Union, and more precisely in the Czech Republic. Based on the available information, it was found that the European Fund for Strategic Investment in the Czech Republic is only used for the provision of guarantees to small and medium enterprises, but it is not fully exploited the potential of a fund to support strategic infrastructure projects in transport and energy networks. Nevertheless European Fund for Strategic Investment contributes to economic growth, because through this fund was almost six times multiplied increase of the number of guarantees granted for loans to small and medium enterprises through the intermediary partner Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank.
