Abstract
This diploma thesis addresses the communication and integration of Tecomat Foxtrot control systems from Teco a.s. with devices and platforms from other manufacturers. The thesis analyzes the key features of the Foxtrot system and its Mosaic development environment in terms of integration capabilities. The main emphasis is placed on the practical implementation and evaluation of communication via standard industrial interfaces – Ethernet and the RS-485 serial line. Within the practical part, communication between a Teco Foxtrot PLC and an Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC was implemented using the Modbus TCP protocol, as well as communication between a Teco Foxtrot PLC and an Ezi-Servo drive using the RS-485 bus and a specific protocol. The thesis compares the characteristics of the used protocols and evaluates their suitability for integrating the Foxtrot system into heterogeneous automation systems. The results confirm the flexibility of the Foxtrot system and its ability to function as an integration element, particularly when utilizing open standards.
