Odolnost prvků ochrany zraku při práci s nastřelovací pistolí

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of eye protection resilience against damage from a nail fired from a nail gun. A literature review was conducted focusing on the issue of working with a nail gun. Types of nail guns were described in terms of the principle of the energy source used. Furthermore, the ČSN EN 166:2001 standard dealing with eye protection was explained. Eye protection units for testing were chosen based on information obtained from the literature review. Representatives of different types of nail guns with various types of energy sources were selected for testing. Nails of different weights commonly used were chosen for these nail guns. The kinetic energy of the chosen combinations of nail guns and nails was measured. Testing was conducted to assess the resilience of individual eye protection units. The impact of the nail on the tested protective element was recorded with a high-speed camera and subsequently described. The individual results were described and compared with each other.
