Abstract
This thesis deals with the issue of copper separation from acid etching solutions used in the PCB (printed circuit boards) production process. The introductory part describes the materials used for PCB production. Furthermore, the work describes processes of chemical machining (etching and pickling) of metals and methods of obtaining metals from waste water arising during these processes. The following part deals with the production process of PCB in the company Gatema a. s. especially the disposal of waste solutions generated
in this production process. In the experimental part of the thesis methods of separation of Cu from acidic etching solution are described, as well as results of measurements. The final part of the thesis presents the evaluation of verified methods (cementation and precipitation) and on the basis of the results, it presents suggestions of a possible method for obtaining Cu from acid etching solutions.
