Využití nanočástic ZnO při čištění odpadních vod

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the use of photocatalytic degradation of dyes using ZnO nanoparticles in comparison with ZnO/vermiculite nanocomposite material for the elimination of selected dyes in wastewater. The photodegradation of methyl orange and methyl blue was characterized by UV - VIS spectrometry. Experiments were performed with commercially available pure ZnO with particle size <100 nm. The used ZnO/vermiculite nanocomposite was prepared in the laboratory. A total of 8 samples were evaluated and subjected to photocatalysis. At the same time, the phase composition of the sedimented composite after centrifugation and filtration was evaluated by the means of infrared spectrophotometry (FTIR). The selected elemental composition of the filtrate was also characterized by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS). As a result of this work, individual photocatalytic experiments of methyl orange and methyl blue degradation were evaluated.
