This diploma thesis deals with influence of wood moisture content on its auto-ignition point. The thesis is separated into two parts. The first one is theoretical and contains some basic information about wood itself, its composition, properties and how it behaves during heat exposure, about wood moisture content and also about laboratory tests of solid combustible materials. The practical part is focused on the influence of wood moisture content on determining its auto-ignition point in accordance with the norm ČSN 64 0149 for spruce and oak wood. Essential part of the practical part deals with the way of moistening the wood and determining the wood moisture content.
