Abstract
The main objective of this diploma thesis is the way the concentration of radon is measured within confined spaces in different parts of the Czech Republic marked with various and specific radon index. All the measurements were executed with help of TSR2 and TSR3 measuring probes made in TESLA a.s.
The outcome establishes possible interdependence of radon concentration within particular buildings on a climate cycle and, subsequently, on the outdoor temperature as well as on the airing of the affected areas.
The research took place in nurseries, the University and within various blocks of flats. They were short-term(weeks) as well as long-term(months) measurements.
The result of this work is a complete denial of the hypothesis that radon concentration in closed and confined space within a building depends on a climate cycle, and, at the same time, a confirmation of another, alternative hypothesis that airing of the object has got a great influence on lowering of the radon concentration in confined space.
