Abstract

The thesis analyses staff turnover in a specific company. It focuses on identifying the root causes of staff turnover and quantifying the costs associated with it. The objective of this study was to answer the following question: "In which areas of personnel management and corporate culture can the relevant company seek the causes of high staff turnover and how high are its costs?". The study is divided into seven chapters while the first two chapters are theoretical and the remaining ones are practical. In the theoretical part, I explained terms related to staff turnover and then it focused mainly on human resource management and its impact on the actual turnover. In the practical part, I introduced the company and analysed the turnover of its employees. For my research, I chose a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire, analysis of data obtained during the survey and calculation of costs that arise in connection with the turnover. There are several suggestions and practical recommendations in the conclusion. These suggestions can help address issues in problem areas. The objective of this paper was achieved in the form of the above measures that can be used by the company management as a basis for further steps that would prevent staff turnover in the future.
