Křižovatka Dlouhá třída - Studentská - Okrajová v Havířově

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the assessment of the intersection of Dlouhá třída, Studentská, and Okrajová streets in Havířov. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate its current layout in terms of traffic safety and flow based on a traffic survey and capacity analysis. The thesis also includes a forecast of traffic load for the year 2045. Based on the analysis, two modification variants are proposed – a roundabout and a change in the signal plan – which are verified using simulation models in the PTV VISSIM software. The result of the thesis is a recommendation of the most suitable solution.
