Abstract

The aim of this thesis is the evaluation of financial performance of the selected company in the period 2007 to 2011. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The methodology of financial performance is described in the theoretical part. It contains the description of the financial analysis, models of company's financial evaluation, pyramid decomposition, economic value added and capital cost. The selected company is presented in the practical part. There is a horizontal and vertical analysis of the financial statements of the company and also there is ration analysis. The main part of this thesis is the evaluation of financial performance of the selected company. The evaluation of financial performance is done by using selected models. Also there are defined the capital costs which are needed for determining the economic value added. Consequently, the economic value added is determined on the basis of equity and entity. The pyramid decomposition of return on equity and economic value added is also done. The comparison of selected company's indicators and industries are performed in the conclusion. As well as a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of the company.
