Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with treatment of bio-waste in the Czech Republic. Wastes including biological waste are the most common and most watched "byproduct" of human society. Nowadays, this type of waste makes for approximately 40% of all municipal waste production. The introduction summarizes the legislative front of biological waste in the Czech Republic and basic concepts of bio-wastes. The main part is the possibility of biological waste treatment and recovery, whether by individuals in small-composting, or larger organizations with large composting and the use of anaerobic digestion with energy recovery of biogas generated. Applying these theoretical principles in practice is then demonstrated on examples of several successful pilot projects on separation and utilization of biological waste, which is already operating in the Czech Republic. The conclusion summarizes the current situation and future vision and its needs.
