Abstract

Waste products surround us and have become a part of our everyday life. This thesis deals with the system of separate waste disposal done by the citizens of Havířov. It starts with the legislation, the town of Havířov characteristic features, and the introduction of the urban Technical Services company. The topics of municipal waste, its separation and disposal are examined in the thesis. Then a suggestion is elaborated on the subject of the biowaste separation and its costs. The conclusion compares a waste dump to an incinerator.
