Požiarna bezpečnosť ubytovacích zariadení v horských oblastiach

Abstract

This work deals with the subject of accommodation in mountain areas. It focuses on their fire protection in terms of evacuation, fire water sources, fire safety equipment, access routes and fire protection unit intervention. It describes, compares and assesses the current requirements for these sectors in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It explains the importance of this issue and proposes steps, such as minor changes to legislation or national standards, leading to increased fire protection for buildings located in hard-to-reach, remote areas with characteristic climatic conditions. Part of the work is modelling the evacuation of a selected mountain hotel in the Pathfinder programme, which highlights the differences between the evacuation times obtained by empirical formulae and those obtained by modelling in this programme.
