Environmentální kriminalita na Mostecku a trestní právo v ochraně životního prostředí

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on environmental crime in the Most region and the importance of criminal law in environmental protection. The theoretical part defines the legal framework of environmental offences, their statutory elements, and procedural steps of police authorities in their detection and investigation. The practical part is based on an analysis of selected cases from 2010–2025 using authentic police files. It evaluates in particular forms of unlawful conduct, legal qualification of acts, case outcomes, duration of proceedings, reasons for case dismissal, and the extent of environmental damage. The thesis identifies the limits of criminal law protection of the environment and provides recommendations for professional practice.
