Abstract
This work shows the preparation and characterization of Si3N4 granules respectively. microspheres with bioactive component as Ca3(PO4)2. Porous granules are prepared by dosing an aqueous suspension in liquid nitrogen followed by lyophilization and sintering. Enhanced bioactivity Si3N4 granules will be obtained by infiltration of sol hydroxyapatite (HA), and subsequent calcination. Porous microspheres with different proportions of Ca3(PO4)2 are prepared by flame synthesis. The aim will be to characterize the influence of the proportion of Si3N4/ Ca3(PO4)2 on the resultant phase / chemical composition, porosity and resultant biological characteristics of the obtained microspheres.
