Abstract
Bachelor's thesis is describing IPTV within Triple Play services in passive optical networks. In the first part properties and division of optical access network considering way of communication are described. Triple play service offering IPTV, VoIP and broadband Internet access is described in the next part. IPTV service details and measures using IxChariot are contained in the 3rd part. IxChariot was used here for simulation of IPTV transmission. Next measurment was about evaluation of video service quality. This was done by using PSNR and SSIM objective methods. Objective measurement was specialized on comparing streamed videos with original video sample. I have used freeware software called MSU Video Quality for comparing. All measurements were done on GePON network prepared and configurated by myself.
