Abstract

The thesis is focused on the suggestion and evaluation of improvement in the area of product quality measurement on a selected process. The aim of the theoretical part was to develop an information base from the recommended literature, which was used in the practical part. The main topic of the theoretical part was the description of statistical process control and control charts. The aim of the practical part was to analyze the current state of measurement and evaluation of product parameters related to quality on the PTC pressing process and to suggest an improvement in this area. The proposal for improvement in the area of SPC measurement was implemented by describing a specific measurement system that was designed by the company's project team, of which the author was part. The project has a high potential to reduce the cost of non-conforming production in the company.
