Biomonitoring PR Skučák se zaměřením na makrozoobentos

Abstract

Water is rightly reffered to as the basic element of life. It is the living environment for most of the organisms and a substance essential for life on Earth. In every landscape there can be found tanks of various kind and origin, such as lakes, ponds, valley basins or river arms and pools. All these types of slack waters are in varying degrees inhabited by specific communities of organisms whose presence and function are unsubstitutable in appropriate ecosystem. This diploma thesis deals with biomonitoring of Skučák natural reservation with special attention given to macrozoobenthos. The main objective of this work was to describe the species composition and structure of the littoral macrozoobenthos community. The whole research was made between 2007 and 2009 in Skučák nature preserve which is located in Rychvald area in Karvina region. In this diploma thesis I was characterizing the location in focus, macrozoobenthos in general and the methodology of extraction. A special interest is given to the evaluation of macrozoobenthos biomonitoring in Skučák natural reservation. The last chapter of my diploma thesis contains the evaluation of the results reached during my observation.
