Abstract
The subject of this thesis is evaluation of the technical efficiency of the providers of social services for elderly. Theoretical part is focused on social policy and social services for elderly. And It is focused on strategic documents about social services for elderly too. In a practical part there is the methodology of measuring technical efficiency. This methodology is used for the calculation and evaluation of the technical efficiency in selected homes for the elderly in Hradec Kralove region.
