Abstract
The main aim of the bachelor thesis is a blueprint and the implementation of a USB/COM converter board laboratory prototype with making use of a converter with an integrated memory. In the theoretical part, the principles and techniques of this converter utilization are summarized. The main USB and serial port properties and the transfer by these interfaces are the parts of introduction chapters. The following chapters describe circuits FT232R by FTDI and MAX213 by MAXIM, which create the main skeleton in the circuit. In the following part, the installation of the driver is described step by step. In the last chapter, the EEPROM (circuit FT232R) internal memory programming is outlined. The given model function verification by means of oscilloscope and the elaboration of laboratory work are the components of the appendix.
