Abstract
Education is considered as an important element in the development of society since the existence of economics as a discipline. At present, however, there is still a growing gap in economic maturity between developed and developing countries. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out what is the level of human capital and whether human capital correlates with the level of economic development in the countries of Africa. The thesis is structured into three parts except the introduction and conclusion. The first part defines the term human capital and it explains the basic factors that affect and influence human capital, while neither the microeconomic and macroeconomic view of human capital is not omitted. The second part of the thesis is focused on development traps and attention is also paid to human capital in Africa. The third part of the thesis focuses on the analyzation of human capital and correlation analysis in the countries of Africa which are divided by mineral resources.
