Využití energy harvestingu pro chytrou cyklistickou helmu

Abstract

The work deals with the possibilities of powering the sensor system in a smart cycling helmet using alternative energy sources. The theoretical and practical part includes the selection and comparison of energy collection methods using solar cells and thermoelectric generators. Energy harvesting (EH) is used to obtain energy from the environment. The attention is paid to the functional blocks of the EH system with the resultant implementation of the functional model for the bicycle helmet. The experimental part is devoted to measuring, comparing and evaluating the performance of the proposed EH systems using solar cells and thermoelectric generators on a bicycle helmet in the laboratory and outdoor conditions. Bachelor thesis determined specific conditions for use of DC/DC converters for energy management from thermoelectric generators or solar cells on bicycle helmet.
