Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to clearly summarize biochemical principles used in medical diagnostic methods. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses the basic biochemical organic substances (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, peptides) and principles of used biochemical laboratory methods. The practical part deals with processing of laboratory tasks that are based on colorimetric, spectrophotometric, chromatographic and chemical methods, and are important for laboratory diagnostic in medicine (clinical biochemistry). The integral part of the thesis is dedicated to experimentally verified laboratory tasks, which are suitable for implementation outside a specialized laboratory, and then the individual results and conclusions of used methods. The output of this thesis can serve as teaching material for practical and theoretical teaching of biochemistry, etc.
