To achieve this aim the method of descriptive analysis is used. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The final chapter refers to overall analysis of the results from the food industry gathered after entering the European Union by Czech Republic. From macro-economic point of view, it refers to the areas of performance and production, employment, price development and foreign food market.
