Abstract

The content of work is the processing, recycling and using of different types of slag. Introduction of work deals mainly with the origin and chemical and physical properties of slag, especially those that have their origin in the manufacture of iron and steel. It is focused on the role of slag in the iron and steel production process and its further processing. The work also describes methods of processing and utilization of slag in various industries where the main use slag found in construction materials to roads, it is also widely used as a binder, the application is also used in agriculture as fertilizer. The conclusion focuses on the use of slag in the Czech Republic and the EU.
