Abstract
This work describes the concept of laboratory process based on cardiac volume measuring using thermodilution method. The blood circulation is in the process simulated by water flow
in the measuring chain driven by pump. Measuring is performed by Swan-Ganz catheter used
in medical practice. There is also a programme designed to calculate cardiac volume, which is
an important indicator of the cardiovascular system state.
